CCR HISTORY Dave and Jana Jenkins were sent to Rwanda in 2005 by The Springs Church in Oklahoma City, U.S.A. to plant a church in Kigali. The vision was to reach out to Rwandan Diaspora who were returning to Rwanda to rebuild their nation, and were looking for a church experience that fit the unique needs of their international families. CCR quickly evolved into reaching an even more diverse international group of English speaking people, but continues to serve many of the Rwandan Diaspora today. As the Jenkins met and spoke with Rwandans a theme of a non-denominational English-speaking church with a strong children’s ministry and Bible based teaching became the foundation of the church plant. Two years later the vision and foundational ideas became Christ’s Church Rwanda. CCR remains true to those core themes today. Christ’s Church Rwanda had our first official gathering in 2007 in our current building located in Gaculiro, Vision 2020 Estates .
